Johnnie Collins is an independant chef and grower based in London. At the start of our work together, Johnnie made it clear that he wanted fast paced, enaging recipe films that captured not only his dishes authentically, but the organic/biodynamic ingredients as well. He didn’t want ‘click-baity’, gimmicky films, but rather to dive deeper into the origin and quality of the produce he is using.

Shooting these films can be quite chaotic - the recipes move quickly and it’s really important that every step is captured organically, hence they are all shot handheld, and with lighting that covers the entire space to allow for full freedom of movement around the kitchen. The recipes are shot in Johnnie’s home kitchen in Dalston, with a simple setup and solo crew - we hope you can’t tell ;)
